Pattern: Puppy Dog Amigurumi + Major Update

Skip to the bottom if you only care about the pattern.

Heeeeeeey so I’m a horrible person who hasn’t posted anything in half a year. Oops.

Basically there are two reasons I went missing. Reason one: I bought myself a Switch for Christmas and it has ruined all my free time. Reason two: There have been a myriad of minor annoyances about crocheting that combined together really put me off it. Luckily, I’ve been working on what I can do to fix these issues and I think I’ve got a good system set up.

So there’s going to be some changes to future patterns. The biggest one being I completely redesigned my pattern template. Not only does it look a lot nicer in my opinion, but it’s way less complicated and lets me write up patterns much quicker than my previous design. I’ve also bought myself a desktop photo-tent so I can snap good looking pictures quickly with significantly less use of Photoshop. And the last thing is that I’ve finally figured out what about my crocheting style has been irking me. I’ve realized that I mainly crochet from the top-down, when I should be crocheting from the bottom-up. An incredibly simple change that took me way longer than necessary to figure out. Durr.

TL;DR: Patterns should be coming more regularly now.

Also I fiddled with the blog design a bit. If you look up top you can see I made myself a little logo. Nothing fancy but I needed something to use as an avatar and stuff.

Onto the actual pattern.

As mentioned above, this is the first pattern made with my new system. It’s based slightly on a really old puppy pattern I made (no link because it’s ugly :P). The collar is a separate piece, so you can choose to leave it off. It’s cute. Not much else to say.

The pattern is available on Ravelry and on Etsy.

Happy crocheting and hopefully I’ll post again before Christmas. Heheh.
