Free Pattern Friday: Mini Pear Amigurumi

So I just realized all my pictures on the blog stopped working. That was fun. Hopefully I got that fixed right. Also my camera is a fickle pickle so the pictures of this thing kinda suck.

Aaaaaaany who, I saw a picture of a needle felted pear a few months ago and it was really cute so I crocheted it. That’s pretty much it. Enjoy.

Materials

▪  Sport weight yarn in gold, green, brown, pink, black
▪  C hook (2.75 mm)
▪  Stuffing
▪  6 mm safety eyes
▪  Scissors
▪  Tapestry needle

Difficulty

Easy – You should know how to work in the round, increase, decrease, half double crochet, and double crochet.

Body

Starting with gold

1.  ch 2, 6 sc in 1st ch  (6)
2.  [inc] around  (12)
3.  [sc, inc] around  (18)
4.  [2 sc, inc] around  (24)
5.  [3 sc, inc] around  (30)
6.  [4 sc, inc] around  (36)
7 – 10.  [sc] around  (36)
11.  [4 sc, dec] around  (30)
12 – 13.  [sc] around  (30)
14.  [3 sc, dec] around  (24)
15.  [2 sc, dec] around  (18)
16 – 18.  [sc] around  (18)
Stuff and attach safety eyes (I placed mine between rounds 10 and 11 at about 6 sts apart)
19.  [sc, dec] around  (12)
20.  [dec] around  (6)

F/O, sew shut

Leaf

Starting with green

1.  ch 7, 2 sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, working on the opposite side of the chs: hdc, 2 dc, hdc, 2 sc  (12)

F/O, leave long tail for sewing

Stem

Starting with brown

1.  ch 2, 6 sc in 1st ch  (6)
2 – 6.  [sc] around  (6)

F/O, leave long tail for sewing

Assembly

▪ Use black yarn to embroider a mouth onto the body
▪ Use pink yarn to embroider blush marks on either side of the eyes
▪ Sew the stem onto the top of the body
▪ Sew the leaf onto the top of the body
